Mobile clinic set up at Pemberton Park

WE’RE ON A MISSION

At Driven Physiotherapy, we partner with endurance athletes, giving you the tools you need to live, train, and perform at your best.

We’re the go-to place for runners, cyclists, and triathletes on Delmarva for physical therapy and performance. We’re building a community, not just a business.

OUR TEAM

Dr. Kate James, DPT

DR. KATE JAMES, PT, DPT

I’m Kate, the founder and owner of Driven Physiotherapy. With over 14 years of experience, I strive to bring research-based knowledge and clinical skills to each client session.

As a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, I understand the importance of movement and exercise to injury recovery and overall wellness. As a runner myself, I understand the demands of the sport and the importance of staying injury free.

I worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore for 5 years before leaving to focus on continuing to build Driven Physiotherapy in the summer of 2021.

Outside the clinic and classroom, I can be found enjoying all the Eastern Shore has to offer with my husband Josh, our two sons, and the family pup, Porter.

Elizabeth Johnson, Physical Therapist in Salisbury, MD

DR. ELIZABETH JOHNSON, PT, DPT

I am Elizabeth, a Physical Therapist and a native Eastern Shore athlete. I am committed to keeping athletes doing what they love by tailoring care to address their unique circumstance, needs, and goals.

I have 13 years of experience as a competitive swimmer. I grew up swimming at the YMCA in Salisbury before competing for St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Since finishing my collegiate swimming career, I’ve tackled the Great Chesapeake Bay Swim and the Ocean Games 9 mile swim. I have shared my love of swimming by teaching swim lessons to all ages, and as an assistant coach of the HFY swim team.

I developed a passion for triathlon right here on the Eastern Shore. I have participated in Sprint and Olympic events, as well as coached the Salisbury Y-Tri team. I also volunteer with TEAM 360, a local nonprofit organization which helps athletes with different abilities compete in road races.

I stay active by hiking, paddling, strength training, and doing yoga. I also love spending time with my family, friends, boyfriend, and dogs.

Fun Fact: I was named “Most likely to show up to class with wet hair” in my PT school cohort!
